Administrative Director of the Courts

Jari Askins 405-556-9300

In addition to the Oklahoma Supreme Court, the judiciary relies on the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) to coordinate logistical operations and personnel throughout the state for both district courts and appellate courts. The AOC also provides leadership and staff support for the Judicial Nominating Commission, the Oklahoma Children’s Court Improvement Project, the Board of Certified Interpreters, the Oklahoma Access to Justice Commission, and the Early Settlement Mediation Program.

Under the supervision of the Chief Justice and the Supreme Court, the Administrative Director of the Courts advises the Court of legislative actions affecting the judiciary, advocates at the State Capitol for appropriate funding for state courts, and carries out directives from the Supreme Court.  The Administrative Director and the AOC are located on the First Floor of the Oklahoma Judicial Center.
