
Travis Jett was appointed to the Supreme Court of Oklahoma in 2025 and represents Judicial District 4.
A native of Slapout, Oklahoma, Jett grew up on his family’s ranch and graduated from Laverne High School. Throughout high school, Jett was an active member of the National FFA Organization. In 2005, he was elected to serve as the National FFA President for the 490,000-member strong organization.
Jett graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness. He was a Top Ten Freshman and was an OSU Outstanding Senior. Jett earned his Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2011. Graduating cum laude, he served as editor-in-chief of the Georgetown Journal of Law and Public Policy and was a law clerk at the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
After law school, Jett returned to Oklahoma where he maintained an active appellate and civil litigation practice. He was a partner in both large and small law firms, and he represented clients as an oral advocate before the Oklahoma Supreme Court and in jury trials.
Prior to joining the Court, Jett was active in the legal community serving as president of the Woodward County Bar Association in 2023. He was also involved with the Oklahoma County Bar Association, the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and the Oklahoma FFA Alumni Council.
Jett and his wife reside in Woodward, OK, where they are active members of Woodward First Methodist Church.
