The Ambassadors

Artist: Eric Tippeconnic

This painting was chosen to represent the theme of the 35th Sovereignty Symposium – Treaties.  Two Comanche women are featured wearing otter headdresses.  This was a sign that the women were of distinction and held in great respect by the tribe.  This painting, like the Briefcase Warrior, were generously donated by Eric Tippeconnic to the Symposium.  Tippeconnic’s generosity has been extended throughout the state.  His four murals, along with one by Patrick Riley, has turned Colony, Oklahoma, into the mural capital of the world (per capita).  Its 125 citizens have 1 mural for every 25 residents.

Down the hall across from the grand staircase, we will continue our tour in the second floor lounge.
